When your goals are too specific for group classes, private lessons will give you the one-on-one attention that you need to reach your goals. 

Each of our instructors is experienced, knowledgeable, and methodical in their approach to movement training. Please scroll down to select the instructor that best suits your needs and goals.

Pay-as-you-can options are available if you need our services and do not have the ability to pay our full price. We believe everyone has a right to a pain-free, mobile body and we will do our best to work with you. Please let us know what you can afford in the notes section of the form below.

Sessions with Kristina 'Nekyia' Canizares

Kristina’s clients include a wide range of people with bodies, from Cirque du Soleil
performers looking for that next trick to individuals recovering their movement
after surgeries or accidents. She has worked with aerialists, pole dancers, runners,
tennis players, CrossFit practitioners, yogis, weight lifters, actors, and rock stars.
Her modalities derive from Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Activation Technique,
targeted strengthening and stretching, and a detailed understanding of functional
anatomy and kinesiology and the ways that the body communicates.

Kristina’s sessions focus on the details of movement, addressing issues including:

Micah’s years of rigorous multi-disciplinary training have given him extensive movement vocabulary and knowledge. While he is able to see the big picture and work towards long-term goals, he focuses on the details, working with clients to carefully target their strength and flexibility exercises in a way that serves to reverse compensations and rewire faulty movement patterns. His strategic progressions move clients past long-time blocks and plateaus, helping them achieve movements and positions they once thought impossible.

Sessions with Lena Fumi

Lena began her movement life in classical ballet. As an adult she discovered circus, and in her mid-30s she dedicated her life to contortion and aerial arts and through her consistent, intelligent training she has become an accomplished contortionist and aerialist. It is this passionate focus and dedicated practice that Lena shares with her clients as a coach and instructor. She understands the journey of flexibility and strength, its physical and emotional challenges, its hurdles and triumphs. Her work as a contortion and aerial coach has taught her that everyone’s journey is different, but that the requirements of dedication and deep self-knowledge are the same.

Sessions with Lily Huang

Flexibility did not come naturally to Lily. In her pole dance career, she was always better at building strength than getting bendy. It was not until Lily discovered active flexibility training at Fit & Bendy that she began to learn that she could use her strength-building superpower to increase her flexibility. Since then her flexibility has increased far beyond her original vision, even through the birth of her son! Lily loves coaching those who also have frustrations and blocks around flexibility, sharing her knowledge and experience to move through blocks. She is particularly adept at using strength to build flexibility, creating strong, healthy movement.
