Backbending exercises to improve spinal flexibility for contortion training
How to Do Pain-Free and Graceful Backbends
Backbends are the most challenging and rewarding aspect of contortion level flexibility training. Learning how to do a pain-free and graceful backbend, while smiling and breathing normally, is a skill that requires consistent strength and mobility training.
I love back bending with all my heart and this routine is now my go-to for spinal mobility. It makes my back feel freaking fabulous and includes forward bending, side bending, twisting, and hip opening. The work is 90% active to build the supporting muscles of the pelvis and torso.
This is another no equipment workout. All you need is a pair of socks!
