Build Strength for Spinal Mobility
Exercises to improve spinal mobility by building back and core strength
Spinal Mobility Starts with Accessing your Strength
The spine is made to move. This routine focuses more on accessing and strengthening the muscles that support the spine through their full range of motion.
We begin by deconstructing the cat/cow, learning to separate the upper and lower back for greater control and experimenting with different emphases. Then we enjoy side bending, twisting, and some strengthening for the pelvic floor and transverse abdominus. Finally we use this new strength and activation for some yummy backbends, breaking down the cobra for healthy bending.
I love this routine and I hope you do to!
